Fusing the most cutting-edge piece of European musical technology, the Reactable Live with the ancient sounds of the didgeridoo. Bastinado's live shows of all original music are arranged 'on the fly', and continuously mixed like a DJ set featuring Josh Harris on Reactable Live and Joseph B. Carringer on didgeridoo.
The duo describes their music as inspired by the EDM that they grew up listening to, but with a modern twist. They are fans of musical greats such as The Chemical Brothers, The Crystal
Method, and The Prodigy to Paul van Dyk, Sasha and Digweed, BT and Orbital. While they view themselves as a band, they are absolutely influenced by the full spectrum of electronic music culture. Mixing guitars and edgy synths with the didgeridoo creates an energy that is on par with a live rock band.

Professorpious has been hooked on electronic music since the late nineties where he was drawn to the frenetic sounds of DnB as a young man. He bought some turntables found a warehouse and threw his first parties in late 2000. A brief trip to London in 2001 and a visit to Fabric nightclub provided the catalyst to switch styles from DnB to Breaks. Then in 2006 Pious attended Burning Man where heard Dubstep and Glitch Hop for the first time and instantly knew this was the sound of the future. Today you can hear anyone or all of these styles in a Pious set.
Currently Pious holds down residency at Lost In Bass every Monday on glitch.fm as well as at the Tuesday weekly Music Ecology."http://soundcloud.com/professorpious
